China foreign direct investment in Southeast Asia and its influence on their local politics

As China enhances its foreign financing and infrastructure project in Southeast Asia a large financial input is anticipated. And these increases are expected to affect the regional countries domestic political dynamic. In this seminar, various cases were presented to explore China’s position and how it has affected the local politics in countries like Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.
