‘Patience’ required for US-China relations

Is patience really the key to success?

The United States newly minted President, Joe Biden, wants to approach relations with Beijing with ‘patience’ as White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki mentioned. China’s President Xi Jinping called on world leaders to strengthen macroeconomic policy coordination and bolster the role of the G20 in global economic governance. There is no doubt that the United States is in a serious competition with China in terms of global leadership which points to a vital element of being a Superpower.

In a White House news briefing, Psaki commented that Xi’s call would not change Biden administration’s strategic approach to China. Keyhole Insights and Research team looks at indicators over the past two years for shifts during the Trump administration…
